What is this charge on my statement?
txfacts is an open database of what the short texts on bank and card statements mean: which merchant, which payment provider, what kind of purchase. Anyone can look things up and anyone can correct them. It never learns who you are, what you paid or when.

Budgeting and bookkeeping apps can ask txfacts about their users' statement texts and send corrections back, through an open API. Texts are scrubbed on the user's device first; card numbers, phone numbers, personal ID numbers and transfers between people never leave it.
